This is the second book in a series. I didnt review the first one but I really liked it.
Book one, Kingdom of the Wicked, was about twins sisters, one who is brutally murdered. The other sister is driven to solve the mystery, even if it means putting herself in danger.
Great premise, great romance story, I was excited for Book 2.
On to this critique:
I am not sure if I consider this worth the wait. Yes it was spicy at times, and the love interest with literally of God of one of the seven deadly sins means he has a point of view. Unfortunately, the really great A plot of the first novel, solving the crime of her sister's death, switched to the B plot for this sequel. Every now and then, Kerri would remind us through the protaganist that she still has other goals but getting jiggy with it, but it feels like a gentle reminder.
I will read the next one, I'm not too picky with my time and books. I probably like it more than I should since the love interest reminds me of Rhys from ACOTAR, and I'm a sucker for that type of guy.
